Today we are going to take an in depth look at a wedding which took place at Rushpool Hall near Saltburn.
It is a venue I have worked at many times over the years & one I know very well having shot the interiors photographs for the venue website in the past too.
I usually start a couple of hours before showtime, and I tend to follow the bride & those in close proximity of her around this time:
I usually head down to the ceremony room during this time & get a few shots of the room all ready to go:
I then met up with the groom & his groomsmen:
I don’t tend to stage many pictures, but if someone requests a specific photo I am always happy to oblige. In this instance the groom wanted a picture of he & his ushers walking through the grounds:
Then its back up to the bride’s room:
I usually take a moment at this stage of the day to grab a few posed shots of the bride, bridesmaids & any parents that are in the room:
Then its downstairs to the ceremony room with everyone in place waiting for the bride:
There’s even time for a quick high five as the ceremony concludes:
I don’t showcase a lot of posed pictures on the blog typically, but I always encourage group photos on the day. They are quick to do & they are there as a document of the family afterwards:
Again, I often explain to clients that the speeches can provide a lot of value as far as photography is concerned. Guests are not paying attention to me & I can go undetected to get photographs of many of those there on the day:
