This wedding took place at a rurally located church, which meant mud, rain, wet ground, early sunset (the ceremony took place at dusk), cold weather (the reception took place in a barn on an actual working farm).
Luckily I have the experience to cope with any such challenges & I thought this wedding provided me with some interesting photographs I don’t often get the chance to get.
This was the second time I had shot for this family (I photographed the bride’s brothers wedding in 2014) & at this venue (his wedding took place at the same family owned farm).
Here is a selection from the day:
This land rover gave a nice juxtaposition with the church behind:
Groom and his ushers before the ceremony:
The long & very muddy path to the church made for a great & unique photograph:
And this turned out to be one of my favourite photographs of 2018:
The groom waiting inside the church:
Again, this is the sort of photograph I crave but doesn’t turn up too often. The darkness, headlights, and guests makes for a great mixture all in one frame:
As it was already dark & wet outside, we shot a few portraits inside the barn:
There was a special country dancing part of the wedding, which again gave me some unusual photographs I don’t see at some weddings:
Again, this photograph was another of my favourites from 2018:
