Wedding Photography at Walworth Castle, near Darlington by Simon Cardwell

Just a short selection for you today from a recent wedding at Walworth Castle near Darlington.

I didn’t shoot a lot of the bridal preparations on this occasion but I didn't manage to grab a couple when I first arrived:

I have worked at Walworth many times over the years & It is a beautiful ceremony room with lots of natural light.

Wedding Photography in a rural church & farm by Simon Cardwell

Today I would like to show you some photographs from the first wedding I photographed in 2018.

Taking place on a rurally located church meant the mud & damp ground was a factor but also presented some interesting photographs.

Here is a selection of the ceremony (before & immediately after) only. I think there are some very unique pictures here that I don't often get the chance to take:

Photo Friday 12 - an unexpected group photo by Simon Cardwell

I speak to many couples who think the family groups as the most boring & predictable aspect of your wedding photographs, but it doesn't always pan out that way, as this photo from The Quality Hotel, Boldon proves.

Are you concerned about your wedding photographer spending house posing people for rigid group photographs? Would you rather relax & enjoy the day without having to pose for endless photos? Have a look at what past clients have to say about my working style on my website today.

Photo Friday 10 - The Blackwell Grange, Darlington by Simon Cardwell

Sometimes a posed photograph happens naturally when you initially set out to take a natural & unposed shot. The photo almost always comes out well as the people have posed for you without being asked, and are therefore invested in the picture being taken:
