This is a venue I return to periodically, located on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors. It is always a nice place to work with a pleasant ambience.
An out of town wedding venue provides different possibilities to that of a register office, a city centre or a barn wedding. One advantage is as there is no travel involved between venues, you end up with more coverage on the day.
Another positive is there are usually extensive grounds at this sort of venue, meaning you have plenty of potential backdrops for photographs.
As usual I arrived early to document the bridal preparations:
On this occasion the ceremony took place at nearby church (literally round the corner), so we left Crathorne Hall for the church:
Upon returning to Crathorne we grabbed some bride & groom portraits on the grounds. Although it was pretty cold on the day so I had to work pretty fast:
